Peterson Farms Seed Varietal Product Manager Kelsey Pellman says there’s a good crop on the way, but not a great one. “A couple of weeks ago, you would have heard guys talking about a record crop, but I think we might have seen a little bit of that top end come off with some fields getting nipped a little bit by frost.” Pellman expects the soybean harvest to pick up in the western half of the state any day now. “Driving along Highway 200, even some places along the interstate, seems like a lot of fields are drying down very quickly so I think things are going to progress pretty quickly.”
