During this period of low commodity prices, building demand becomes increasingly important. “We are trying to get E15 into all of these gas stations,” reports Andrew Mages, who farms at Belgrade, Minnesota. “Minnesota alone has 500 gas stations with E88 pumps and now California is pushing E15 which the Minnesota Corn Growers Association and National Corn Growers Association had a lot to do with that.” Mages represented Minnesota Corn Growers Association in an RRFN interview at the Big Iron Farm Show.
