Each headline regarding China or tariffs moves the soybean market. The Money Farm market analyst Allison Thompson said the Brazilian crop also hangs over this market. “We’ve been talking about a record crop coming out of South America for darn near eight, nine months now.” Seasonal patterns are also changing. “If we have anything close to what we did last year, American producers and the American export window might be shifting a little bit later than what we’ve been used to,” said Thompson. “In my opinion, if China comes to the market, we’re gonna see some sharp moves and those moves come in the futures market.” Watch Thursday’s RRFN Market Outlook Panel from Big Iron.
