The Big Iron Farm and Construction Show is happening this week at West Fargo. In addition to kicking tires on new equipment or experiencing the latest technology, the Red River Farm Network encourages you to join us for our daily forums. We’ll get the harvest weather outlook with North Dakota State Climatologist Daryl Ritchison and South Dakota State Climatologist Laura Edwards on Tuesday morning. On Wednesday, Terrain’s John Newton will offer his thoughts on farm policy, prices and politics. Newton is the former chief economist of the U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee and Farm Bureau. Farm Service Agency Administrator Bill Beam is making his first visit to the region and will be on the RRFN stage on Thursday. Market outlook forums will feature industry-leading market analysts each day at 1:30 PM. AgCountry Farm Credit Services is hosting forums on succession planning, crop insurance and farm policy and Farmers National Company is leading a discussion on farmland values–holding, soft landing or bubble bursting? If you can’t make it in-person to all of the forums, they will be livestreamed online at Your Live Event and the RRFN YouTube channel. Here’s the full schedule.
