A 20-year-old college student from Wright County is the new Princess Kay of the Milky Way. Malorie Thorson was crowned last night ahead of the Minnesota State Fair. She spent her first day as Princess Kay in a cooler having her likeness carved in a 90 pound block of butter. Thorson will serve the upcoming year as a goodwill ambassador for Minnesota’s dairy industry.
