Harvest is underway in Richland County, North Dakota, with farmer Corey Theede reporting solid crop quality despite some weather challenges. “It’s a battle with these wet mornings getting going, but it’s been working,” said Theede. “Bushel-wise, it’s a really respectable crop as far as our crop goes.” While crops near Theede’s home near Fairmount and areas east toward Minnesota are in good shape, hail and excessive moisture have caused damage in areas to the west and south. “The beans there, some of them are going to be pretty tough.”
