Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins made a weekend stop at the Iowa State Fair. The Des Moines Register reports Rollins was asked about USDA’s reorganization plan. Rollins said one of the USDA buildings on the National Mall has 6,000 offices and only 900 people work there regularly. The agriculture secretary said the reorganization plan brings USDA closer to the farmer.
