The second Make America Healthy Again Commission report is due for release on Tuesday. American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall was disappointed in the first report. “It made comments we’ll be fighting for a long, long time because now it’s in a federal report.” Duvall remains cautiously optimistic about the next MAHA report. “I actually had the opportunity to sit down with the President and talk about how important crop protection tools were to farmers,” said Duvall. “He’s a real estate guy. He didn’t know what Roundup or atrazine are or how we use it. I had the opportunity to give him a science class on why they were so important to us, and it made a difference. And he basically turned to the Secretary and said we’ve got to make sure that our farmers keep those tools they need.” Listen to the interview.
