A new rule for drone users has been proposed. It would eliminate the direct line-of-sight requirements. Currently, drone operators must get individual waivers or exemptions to use their drones without a visual line-of-sight. Those waivers were approved through a lengthy case-by-case process. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said this change could ‘unleash American drone dominance’ and have a major impact on farming and other industries.
