Legislation has been introduced in the Senate to make changes to the Conservation Reserve Program. South Dakota Senator John Thune and Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar introduced similar bills in the past. It would provide more flexibility for emergency haying on CRP acres, improve access for grazing and increase the payment limits to account for inflation and rising land values.
