Nesvik Trading analyst Tommy Grisafi shared market insights with farmers at the Ag PhD Field Day, emphasizing the importance of demand in driving future prices. “It sounds sarcastic, but low prices bring in phenomenal demand,” said Grisafi. “I’d much rather have a demand-driven bull market than a subsidy payment or anything else.” Grisafi also pointed to logistical challenges facing the Northern Plains as harvest nears. “We are now short on storage space at a time when we need it so much. Watch your basis, watch those cash markets, they could get wild.”
