At the conclusion of the spring wheat and durum tour, North Dakota Wheat Commission Executive Director Jim Peterson said it is a very good crop, but not as good as last year. “Right now, USDA is estimating a yield similar to last year for spring wheat and that’s probably too high based on what the tour found,” said Peterson. “As wet as we’ve been, disease concerns are front and center for the crop here over the next week to two weeks.”
