China is threatening to blow up a proposed sale of the Panama Canal and more than 40 other ports around the world. China wants the state-owned COSCO Shipping Corporation to be an equal partner in the deal. The Chinese involvement would likely upset the Trump Administration, which has threatened to take control of the Panama Canal.
