CHS reported third quarter net income of $232.2 million on revenues of $9.8 billion, down from $297.3 million in net income a year ago. Despite the decline, earnings in the agriculture segment were stronger due to increased volumes and margins in agronomy products. Year-to-date, CHS has posted $401.2 million in net income on $26.9 billion in revenue, compared to $990.5 million in income and $30.1 billion in revenue for the same period last year. Planned maintenance at the McPherson refinery impacted fuel production, while equity investments continued to contribute to income.
