Wheat harvest is moving ahead across the Plains “Texas was down, but everywhere else has been really good so far,” said Paul Paplow of Paplow Harvesting and Trucking. “I know Nebraska looks good; North Dakota started on some really good wheat. Montana is going to be better than they expected, but I do think that it’s going to be down a little bit from the past couple of years.” Storm damage, including a wide hail swath in Montana, is expected to impact final yield totals. Paplow is based in Worthington, Minnesota and is president of the U.S. Custom Harvesters Inc.
