Farmers along the I-94 corridor in North Dakota are still recovering from the recent derecho and tornadoes. Spring Creek Ag owner Ron Truax said crops were replanted, especially in areas just north of the interstate where damage was most severe. “Corn seemed to take it pretty well for the most part and a lot of the beans struggled; they got beat up pretty good,” said Truax. Storage is also a concern, with several grain bins lost in the storm. Truax expects more crops to be stored in grain bags than usual this fall. “That’s kind of a temporary solution.”
