The North Dakota Department of Agriculture is making $300,000 available for drone detection of Palmer amaranth and other noxious weeds. Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring said this project will focus on sugarbeet and soybean fields in five counties during the 2025 and 2026 growing seasons. The eligible counties are Steele, Traill, Cass, Richland and Barnes. Other counties may be added if necessary. Applications must be submitted by July 10.
