Row crops are suffering from saturated soils in the Murdock, Minnesota area. Michael Yost is happier with the hay crop. “We got our first cut of hay done; that went really well, quality was good,” said Yost. “The tonnage was good on the first cutting, so everybody was really pleased with that. We didn’t have to deal with a lot of rain-related events in that particular week that we got it up.” Weather permitting, second-crop alfalfa will be put up in the week ahead.
