With a cooler-than-average start, row crops in the Ada, Minnesota area have been a little behind. “The wheat crop likes it cooler like this, so that’s coming along really nicely,” said John Brainard. Back-and-forth spring weather has forced some replants. “We ended up reseeding 160 acres of sugarbeets, we just didn’t have the stand that we wanted so, we ended up reseeding that. It was just a variety of circumstances. It was too hot and windy for a while there, and then it was too wet and too cool.”
