In the Pioneer Agronomy Report, Pioneer Field Agronomist Kevin Sinner said most of the region is close to the averages for heat and moisture. The exception would be northeast North Dakota and northwest Minnesota, which have been warmer and drier than average. “Although it doesn’t feel much like we’ve had average days,” said Sinner. “It seems like it has been either 90 degrees with a 45 mile-per-hour wind or 45 degrees and raining.” Sinner reports farmers are starting to side-dress fertilizer on the corn.
