Cargill is investing $90 million in automation and technology updates at its Fort Morgan, Colorado beef plant. That includes a new computer vision tool that measures meat yield in real time, which reduces waste. Cargill also confirmed its plan to buy the Teys beef processing business in Australia. Cargill has been a shareholder in that company for 14 years. The deal should be wrapped up later this year.
