North Dakota Farm Bureau President Daryl Lies called the legislation a win for farmers. “As far as the tax policies, the extension and increase in the death tax level are going to be pretty positive.” Lies said these provisions will provide much-needed relief and stability for the ag sector. The bill boosts commodity reference prices, Lies said that will ease some pressure on the farm bill process.
