The U.S. Senate approved two resolutions to overturn California’s electric vehicle mandate. The California standard said all the cars and light-duty trucks sold in the state had to be powered by electricity or hydrogen by 2035. Seventeen states, including Minnesota, adopted California’s mandate. The Republican majority described the mandate as ‘regulatory overreach.’
