Milk Production Edges Higher

U.S. milk production rose 1.5 percent in April. In South Dakota, milk output rose 9.2 percent from one year ago. South Dakota dairy farmers added 16,000 dairy cows to the state herd in the past year. Minnesota milk production increased by less than one percent while cow numbers declined 4,000 head.
