The budget reconciliation bill includes provisions for agriculture, including a ten-to-20 percent increase in reference prices. It does not include many policy issues, including a legislative fix to California’s Prop 12. House Agriculture Committee Chair Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson says he has bipartisan support to pass a so-called ‘skinny bill’ later this year. Thompson told Politico that he believes he can rally support from Democrats for Farm Bill 2.0.
