Mersinger to Leave CFTC

Summer Mersinger is resigning from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to become CEO of the Blockchain Association, a lobbying group for the crypto industry. Mersinger filled a Republican seat at the CFTC and has been in that role since 2022. Mersinger is an Onida, South Dakota native who began her Washington, D.C. career working for Senate Majority Leader John Thune when he was a member of the House.
