Compromise Possible in St. Paul

There are big differences between the Democrats and Republicans in the Minnesota budget targets. Yet, House Speaker Lisa Demuth is optimistic those issues can be resolved with divided government. “All voices are being heard,” said Demuth. “My expectation is that there will be less partisanship and finding more common ground where we can. It is still going to be a heavy lift, but I think it can be done.” The Minnesota legislative session is scheduled to wrap up by May 19.
