North Dakota Corn Growers Association President Andrew Mauch was part of the roundtable discussion with USDA leader Brooke Rollins. Mauch emphasized the need for a permanent E15 waiver, saying farmers want consumers to have the choice at the pump. “Brazil is a big competitor of ours and they have an E27 mandate; we’re just saying (we’d like) an option at the pump.” Mauch also pointed to the potential of sustainable aviation fuel as a major growth area for the corn industry. “We’re trying to look forward, make it better for the next generation, make it better for tomorrow.”
