More Than 10% of USDA Employees Take Second Buyout Offer

The buyout offer expired on Tuesday. The deferred resignation includes paid leave through September and is seen as a precursor to mandatory job cuts. Politico reports as many as 12,000 USDA employees accepted the buyout. That’s from a total workforce of 100,000 people.
