U.S. Needs to Step Up the Investment in Biotechnology

A new report has been released in Washington, D.C., calling for urgent action to make biotechnology a national priority. The report from the National Security Commission on Emerging Technology said the United States is in danger of falling far behind foreign competitors, including China. Recommendations include the establishment of a national biotechnology policy office in the White House and promoting private investment through regulatory relief.
