The European Union will begin retaliating against the U.S. reciprocal tariffs on Tuesday. Duties of 25 percent will be placed on various products, including corn, wheat and barley. The tariff increase will be made in stages in mid-April, mid-May and early November. Soybeans will be added to the tariff list in the November. The 27 members of the EU trading bloc met to discuss the tariffs. Twenty-six EU members voted in favor of retaliation with only Hungary opposed to this strategy.
