Renewable Fuels Association Senior Vice President of Government and Public Affairs Troy Bredenkamp, says the path to achieving year-round E-15 remains uncertain. “We had a great opportunity last December in the year-end continuing resolution package, but we ultimately got stripped out of that deal. We were certainly shooting for the March continuing resolution, but that wasn’t the solution we were hoping for.” Bredenkamp emphasized that momentum is building. “I think that’s primarily due to the fact that you see a very unified coalition working in support of this, which includes ag groups, biofuel groups, oil and gas refiners, and the American Petroleum Institute. Everyone’s on board with trying to get this year-round E-15 issue over the hump.”
