Deferred Resignation Decision Due on Tuesday

USDA employees have until Tuesday to respond to an early-buyout offer. Those accepting the ‘Deferred Resignation Program 2.0’ will be on the payroll until the end of September. The Agriculture Department is also offering early retirement to employees who are at least 50 years old with 20 years of federal service, or any age with 25 years of federal service. This offer is being made before the restructuring of USDA and a reduction in the size of the workforce.
