U.S. farmers are expected to plant 95.3 million acres of corn in 2025, a 5 percent increase from last year, according to the USDA’s latest report. Soybean acreage is estimated at 83.5 million acres, down 4 percent from 2024. Wheat planting is projected at 45.4 million acres, a 2 percent decline, marking the second-lowest total since records began in 1919. Winter wheat accounts for 33.3 million acres, while spring wheat is estimated at 10 million acres.
