Minnesota Governor Tim Walz signed his first bill for the current session and it is an agriculture bill. The legislation reduces the cost of annual financial reporting for small grain buyers. For example, those purchasing under $7.5 million per year can use a certified public accountant or an independent review. In a statement, Walz praised lawmakers for coming together in a bipartisan way to help small farmers.
