Ken Wood, who is a board member from Chapman, Kansas, said the Wheat 101 program brings congressional staffers and USDA officials out to the field. “It’s a good chance to visit with folks that maybe don’t have an ag background so we get a chance to interact with them and tell our story to them. We hear their stories too because it’s a different lifestyle when you’re a Hill staffer.”
