Over the weekend, the Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota soybean grower groups caucused together to make sure the region was united for the American Soybean Association policy meetings. Minnesota Soybean Growers Association President Darin Johnson said the farm bill was again part of the discussion. “It’s a broken record it seems like, but it does feel like there is bipartisan support and get this thing caught up to where it needs to be.” MSGA will be in Washington, D.C. later this month to lobby on the farm bill and other issues. Johnson said the tax bill is also a priority. That includes tax credits for sustainable aviation fuel. “Just in the United States alone, aviation fuel is a 30 billion gallon market and we’re hoping to have a role in it.”
