Minnesota FFA Alumni President Cara Soukup didn’t always see herself in FFA. “I didn’t think it was something I
wanted to participate in when I got into high school and then I saw a lot of my friends going to different activities and coming back really excited,” Soukup said. “That kind of ignited my excitement for agriculture.” As alumni president, Soukup is proud to support the organization’s rapid growth. “Back when I was in FFA, we had around 8,000 members, and now we’re at a little over 14,000,” she said. Looking ahead, changes in ag education enrollment are expected to push that number to nearly 40,000 by 2027-2028. Click here to listen to the full interview.
