House leadership has released its budget resolution, which calls for a $230 billion cut over ten years for the agriculture committee. Those cuts would likely come from SNAP benefits. In addition to low-income families, Ranking Member Angie Craig said taking $230 billion out of the food economy hurts farmers, truckers, food processors and more. Rather than ‘one big, beautiful bill,’ the Senate Budget Committee is going a different route, working on two budget reconciliation packages.
