During Wednesday’s hearing, Minnesota House Agriculture Committee Chair Paul Anderson referenced a Rural Finance Authority meeting and a conversation with an ag lender. “A lot of bankers were in for the meeting and one of them commented that looking ahead and even looking back, he’s seen no cash flow that shows a positive return for corn and soybeans for the coming year.” Anderson emphasized the importance of value-added agriculture to “add value back into the farmer’s hands.”
