North Dakota’s agriculture industry generates over $41 billion in gross business volume each year, supports more than 123,000 jobs and contributes $10 billion in labor income. Across all economic metrics, agriculture represents 20-to-25 percent of the North Dakota economy. The new soybean processing plants in Spiritwood and Casselton and the proposed potato processing plant in Grand Forks were cited. The new economic analysis was funded by a dozen North Dakota agriculture groups.
