In Bismarck, the House Finance and Taxation Committee approved a bill to increase the state’s primary residence tax credit from $500 to $1,450. The bill does not address property tax adjustments for farmers and ranchers, but additional property tax proposals will be heard in the committee. If approved by the House Appropriations Committee, the bill would go to the full House for a vote.
