Iron Deficiency Chlorosis was a significant issue in soybeans this past year due to the wet conditions. To combat IDC, NDSU Extension Agronomist Ana Carcedo wants farmers to know their fields. “Choosing the correct variety is the first line of action when we’re talking about IDC,” said Carcedo. “There’s other things that you can do, but it comes with a cost. There are chelates that you can put your field, but sometimes they are not cost-effective.”
