The Senate Transportation Committee has approved the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act. This proposal was first introduced a year ago. It would require automobile manufacturers to include AM radio in their new vehicles. “It’s important to me and I think it is important to people in our part of the world because AM radio is a crucial source of news and emergency alerts,” said North Dakota Senator Kevin Cramer. “It might shock some people to know that not everyone has a smartphone or a smart car or even wants one for that matter.” Listen to the RRFN story about the bill.
