NDSU Extension Weed Scientist Brian Jenks says kochia is a problem that isn’t going away. Mixing up methods of control is extremely important. “We’re kinda running out of options,” said Jenks. “We have to consider is every management tactic we can. Some of that might be cultural practices, some of them might be chemical, but the chemicals we use still have to be effective.” See-and-spray technology, crop rotation and different modes of action were all part of the conversation at the Wild World of Weeds Workshop.
