The Minnesota Water Quality and Habitat Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program has expanded to include an additional 12 counties and increased the enrollment goal to 75,000 acres. This program is now available in 66 of Minnesota’s 87 counties. The program is offered jointly by USDA and the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources. Eligible farmers and landowners can qualify for annual rental payments for up to 50 percent cost-share for installing approved conservation projects and incentive payments for certain practices.
