What’s Hot, What’s Not in the Markets

In this week’s edition of What’s Hot, What’s Not in the Markets, Martinson Ag Risk Management President Randy Martinson cited record prices seen in cash cattle and the cattle futures market. “That’s a market that continues to be on fire.” Soybean oil also reached its highest price since July of 2022 and the dollar is at 52-week highs. “We also have corn trading at levels we haven’t seen since May because of a bullish USDA report.” In the ‘not hot’ category, Martinson cited lean hogs, wheat and soybean meal.
