Confirmation Hearings on the Docket

The confirmation hearings for President-Elect Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees are being scheduled. North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum will face the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee on Tuesday. Burgum is nominated to lead the Interior Department. South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, the Homeland Security Department nominee, will appear before the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee Wednesday. On Thursday, EPA Administrator-nominee Lee Zeldin’s confirmation is on the schedule. The Senate Agriculture Committee has not announced the timing for the confirmation hearing of Agriculture Secretary-Nominee Brooke Rollins and it may happen after Inauguration Day. The date for Health and Human Services Secretary-nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s hearing is also not yet scheduled.
