A group of North Dakota landowners is challenging the state’s approval of underground carbon storage in the courts. This case involves the Summit Carbon Solutions project which is taking greenhouse gas emissions from Midwestern ethanol plants and storing it underground in western North Dakota. The lawsuit claims the Industrial Commission violated open records laws.
