Negotiations between dockworkers and the U.S. Maritime Alliance will resume Tuesday. The current contract expires on January 15. There was a three-day strike in October for East Coast and Gulf Coast ports. That walkout ended after the two sides agreed to a tentative 62 percent pay increase over six years. The contract was extended for three months while the two sides worked on other issues, including the use of automation.
